I am a vet tech and worked for the same veterinarian for many years in Nampa Idaho. My puppy was about 11 months old, fully vaccinated as well as spayed. She had been healthy up until I started to gradually change her same brand food from puppy to adult. She started to have diarrhea and excessive weight loss. After taking her to work with me several times to figure out why after 25 days she still had diarrhea and lost 10 pounds. I received no help where I worked, so I decided to call Intermountain Pet Hospital as they have the best reputation in the Treasure Valley. They got us in right away and within just a few days and extensive testing Dr. Bingham had a conclusive diagnosis of Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, which is very rare in her breed. Most commonly found in German Shepherds and she is Queensland heeler/Border Collie mix. Within a week my little dog was able to eat and absorb nutrition again. She was playing and turning back into her old self. Through this illness, I obviously quit my job because of the lack of compassion and lack of medical attention for my dog. Not only did Dr. Bingham save my dogs life, I am honored to work for him now. He is the most professional and considerate boss I have ever had, and he is an outstanding veterinarian. He treats everyone with compassionate respect and his patients are given top notch medical treatment. Even in the most stressful of situations he treats his staff with respect and much appreciation. My vet is the best because after I sent him one email (prior to him even meeting me or my dog before) regarding a concern, my vet called me and told me to bring the dog in right away. During the time, my dog was not with me and the clinic was closing soon, but we both knew it was a crucial situation. Dr. Kim told me to stop in by myself and he will direct me how to treat my dog and also took an educated (and correct) guess as to what was wrong with my dog and what medication she would need. Thankfully, he was right. I started her on the antibiotics immediately and the following day brought her in to be seen. Despite his busy schedule, he made it a point to go out of his way to contact me, to do me a favor by seeing my prior to ever seeing the dog and treated us like family. By his actions, you can tell Dr. Kim does this job because he loves animals and has a true passion for helping them (and their owners)! If it wasn't for Dr. Kim reaching out to me and treating my dog and I the way he did, I really don't know what would have happened to my dog. THANK YOU DR. KIM. BEST VET!!
